I'd like to be able to test things to see if they are silver or not and have searched the board and found that what I need is testing acid (and some sort of a testing stone). Any buying advice? Is it feasible for a novice to rely on a test like this? Would I be able to tell if it's .925/sterling, or only that there is "some" silver present?
